He provides good quality therapeutic massage, holistic massage, sports massage, sports injury treatments, deep-tissue massage, aromatherapy, remedial and integrative bodywork and tantric massage to a wide range of clients in Bristol and throughout the South West.Matthew originally trained in London, and began practising in London in 1994. He is based in Bishopston, Bristol, and has many years' experience as a professional massage therapist and bodywork practitioner. He has worked at Napiers Clinic, The Relaxation Centre, Bristol Cancer Help Centre and Penny Brohn Cancer Care as a professional massage therapist and bodyworker. He runs a thriving private practice from a peaceful, warm, comfortable massage studio in Bristol, BS7, offering a range of therapies suitable for everybody. Matthew is a versatile, sensitive, experienced therapist who enjoys his work, and has helped many people. Matthew provides individually tailored massage and bodywork treatments for a wide range of clients of all ages, to address a variety of health issues and enhance general well-being. Massage and bodywork can be adapted to suit everyone, females, males and couples, of any age. Matthew's one-to-one treatment sessions treat a whole range of physical conditions and emotional issues, reduce stress, relieve stress-related problems, induce deep relaxation and enhance overall well-being. Matthew uses a very comfortable, professional treatment couch, has a large selection of essential oils, many of which are organic, and a comprehensive knowledge of their many uses. Matthew has a thriving, diverse client base, consisting of people from Bristol and the surrounding area, and also from Wales, the South-West, and further afield in Southern England. Here he provided massage, bodywork and support for people living with cancer, as well as their supporters. He continues this work privately. Matthew is qualified to degree level, with a BSc. (Hons) Health Sciences: Complementary Therapies (2:1) from Westminster University (1999-2002), and Certificates in Therapeutic Massage (APNT 1994), Sports Massage (FSMT 1996) and a diploma in Aromatherapy (Dip. ISA 1996). Matthew is a member of IPTI. At the University of Westminster, Matthew trained with Leon Chaitow, completing courses in Palpation Skills, Neuromuscular Techniques, Muscle Energy Techniques, and Positional Release Techniques, as well as Craniosacral Therapy, Environmental Stress and advanced Anatomy and Physiology. Matthew has undertaken numerous further training courses in, amongst others: Deep Tissue massage, Hands-free massage, Spiritual Anatomy, Tantric massage, Massage for Pregnancy, Integrative bodywork and The Bristol Approach to Working with People with Cancer. He continues to take a keen interest in learning new skills, self-development and life-long learning. He is dedicated to his therapeutic work. Matthew is a self-employed professional therapist. He has run practices in both London and Bristol. He is now beginning to start a small part-time practice in his home town in Devon. He worked for over 7 years at The Bristol Cancer Help Centre, and later at Penny Brohn Cancer Care, providing massage, aromatherapy, bodywork and emotional support for people living with cancer, and their supporters. He continues to provide holistic treatment for people living with cancer in his private practice in Bishopston. He also worked at Napiers Clinic and The Relaxation Centre in Bristol. Matthew is a highly experienced, versatile, strong and sensitive therapist who treats a diverse range of clients and continues to receive positive feedback from his clients.
